Coats, the world’s leading industrial thread company, opened innovation hubs in the US, China, and Turkey to showcase their cutting-edge technologies and solutions. However, they faced a significant challenge: how to share these innovations effectively with stakeholders, partners, and customers worldwide without the constraints of physical location.
The goal was to create an experience that would not only highlight Coats’ innovations but also facilitate high-value conversations with a global audience.

As the Project Lead and Creative Technologist, I managed the Coats Innovation Hub project from concept to execution. I served as the primary point of contact for Coats, ensuring their vision was fully understood and translated into a compelling digital experience.
To bring this vision to life, I traveled to the US to personally oversee and execute high-resolution 360° photography of the Coats Innovation Hub in North Carolina. Capturing the space with precision and detail was essential to creating an immersive experience that truly reflected the innovation on display.
Leveraging my expertise in creative technology, I designed and built an interactive 360° experience that combined visual impact with seamless functionality. This involved integrating product information, videos, and interactive hotspots throughout the digital environment. Asset optimization played a key role in ensuring smooth performance across devices, maintaining both quality and efficiency.
Leading a small development team, I also oversaw the creation of custom features that enhanced interactivity, including clickable hotspots for deeper product exploration, integrated video overlays to highlight key innovations, and improved navigation for a smoother user journey.


The result was a fully immersive and interactive 360° digital twin of the Coats Innovation Hub, designed to transport stakeholders into the heart of Coats’ innovations from anywhere in the world. Key areas of the hub were enriched with interactive hotspots, offering videos, product details, and downloadable content, enabling users to explore at their own pace.
The development team and I also implemented interactive product demos and analytics integration to track engagement. Ensuring cross-platform compatibility was a priority, making the experience accessible across desktop, mobile, and VR headsets.
This digital experience significantly expanded Coats’ ability to showcase its innovations beyond physical locations. It facilitated high-value conversations with customers, stakeholders, and partners worldwide, providing them with an engaging and interactive way to explore Coats’ cutting-edge technologies.
The deployment of standalone VR headsets at events and roadshows further amplified engagement, offering a hands-on experience that made a lasting impact.
